You've made an awesome map and now you want to print it! Or maybe you want to save the map as a pdf on your computer. You can do this easily with our Print feature!
We highly suggest you use a Chrome browser for the best user experience.
You can also use the Print feature in Internet Explorer and Firefox however, we again recommend using Chrome. Print is not available in Safari.
To begin the process of printing or saving your map as a PDF, first select "Print".
Once you select "Print", it will ask you to check if your map is ready to be printed. During this step, you can still edit your map.
Once you finalize your map, select the size paper you would like to print your map on. You can also drag your map around to find the perfect angel before you print.
Then click "Save and Print" to continue on. This will automatically save the map you are printing in the "My Stuff" tab. That way you can reprint the map again without having to start from the beginning.
At this point, you can now download your map to your computer as a PDF.
Print your PDF on your printer following the steps you usually take to print. It's that easy!
However, if you are using anything from the "Demographics" or "Overlays" layers you might notice that colors disappear. This is due to the way Chrome and Firefox internally deal with printing and not something we can control. However, there is an easy fix!
If you're in Chrome, simply click on the box next to "Background graphics".
If you're in Firefox, click on the boxes next to "Print Background Colors" and "Print Background Images".
The colors should appear in your saved and printed map!
